Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 cup butter
- 1 cup raw sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract
- 1 tablespoon milk
Method
- Preheat oven to 400*.
- Mix all ingredients.
- Kneed a little then roll out 1/4" thick.
- Drop in sugar.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes.
- ORIGINAL: 2 1/4 c flour (in lieu of both flours and shortening (in lieu of the butter), sugar (in lieu of the raw sugar) and 1 t vanilla or 1/2 t nutmeg (in lieu of the lemon extract).
