Ingredients
- 1/2 c. oleo
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
Method
- Cream shortening, oleo and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla.
- Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
- Blend and shape into 1-inch balls.
- Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet.
- Press with glass dipped in sugar.
- Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Makes about 5 dozen 2 1/2-inch cookies.
