Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat well.
- Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with sour cream and vanilla.
- Mix well. Roll 1/8-inch thick on lightly floured board or surface.
- Cut with floured cookie cutters.
- Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375° for 5 to 8 minutes.
- Ice with confectioners frosting or already prepared frosting in a can.
