Ingredients

  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 c. cooking oil
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 c. confectioners sugar
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Cream margarine and oil together.
  • Blend in two sugars, then the eggs.
  • Sift flour, salt, soda and cream of tartar together. Stir into the creamed mixture.
  • Add vanilla, mixing well.
  • Place small balls of dough on greased cookie sheet, flattening them with the bottom of a small, flat bottomed glass dipped in sugar.
  • Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.
