Ingredients
- 30 slices bread, cubed
- 1/2 c. butter, melted
- 2/3 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 1/4 c. chopped celery or 1 to 1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. sage
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1/4 c. parsley
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 to 1 c. broth, milk or water (optional)
Method
- Melt butter. Add onion, green pepper and celery. Stir in seasonings, eggs and broth.
- (Add broth, milk or water only when not stuffing a bird.)
- Stir into bread cubes.
- Place in casserole dish. Bake at 325° for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown.
