Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground meat
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 onion
  • garlic salt
  • 2 c. spinach (1 large can or 18 oz. can)
  • 1 1/2 handfuls bread crumbs or 6 double crackers, crushed
  • 2 small cans mushrooms, cut up
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2 tsp. butter
  • 2 qt. Ragu or Prego

Method

  • Brown ground meat in oil.
  • Drain and add salt, pepper, onion and garlic salt.
  • Add spinach.
  • Drain spinach and cut up spinach. Brown again on low heat.
  • Add bread crumbs or crackers.
  • Add mushrooms and egg; mix well.
  • Let simmer 5 minutes.
  • Turn heat off.
