Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup barley
  • 1/2 lb bacon
  • 1 About 2 dozen brussel sprouts cut in half.

Method

  • Cook the barley as directed.
  • If no directions I find 1/2 cup barley and 1 1/4 cup water works well.
  • Cook the chopped up bacon and when done add your sprouts.
  • Stir it around to coat the sprouts and then turn down to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Add your barley and mix it all up.
  • Season to taste, I like garlic salt and tobacco!
