Ingredients

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp. olive oil
  • 2 sweet Italian sausage
  • 5 Tbsp. flavored bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp. grated cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. minced parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1 lb. mushrooms
  • chicken stock

Method

  • In a frying pan, gently brown minced garlic in olive oil. Remove sausage meat from casing, crumble meat and fry also. In bowl, combine bread crumbs, cheese, parsley and egg.
  • Add cooked sausage.
  • Wash mushrooms quickly.
  • Remove stems.
  • Fill caps nicely with stuffing.
  • Place them in a baking pan lined with foil.
  • Add a little chicken stock to bottom of pan (5 to 6 tablespoons).
  • Bake at 325° for 30 minutes.
  • Serve hot.
