Ingredients
- 6 peppers
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 4 oz. rice
- 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (28 oz.) can tomato puree
- 1 medium size Spanish onion
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Cut the tops off peppers.
- Dice the onion.
- Mix ground beef, onion, rice, crushed tomatoes, salt and pepper in bowl until thoroughly combined.
- Stuff into peppers.
- Place peppers in a large pot; fill pot with tomato puree and water, just enough to cover peppers.
- Stir occasionally.
- Cook for 1 hour or until you can pierce a pepper with a fork.
- The peppers will be tender when done.
