Ingredients

  • shredded raw cabbage
  • 2 to 3 medium raw potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper
  • 1 pkg. Spanish rice mix
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small green pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 c. vinegar

Method

  • Shred enough cabbage to line baking dish or more if you like cabbage real well.
  • Brown meat, onion and pepper; drain.
  • Add tomato sauce, vinegar, salt, pepper and rice mix to meat mixture. Line dish with cabbage.
  • Add layer of potatoes, layer of beef mixture and top layer of cabbage.
  • Bake at 325° until tender, about 45 minutes to 1 hour.
