Ingredients
- 1 lb. loaf white sandwich bread
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 12 large eggs
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. maple syrup
Method
- Cut 1 pound loaf of day old white sandwich bread into cubes. Spread half of bread in greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- Cut cream cheese into small cubes.
- Sprinkle half over bread in pan. Repeat, layering with remaining bread and cheese.
- Whisk eggs, milk and syrup in large bowl.
- Pour over bread.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Bake uncovered 30 to 40 minutes until knife comes out clean.
- Let stand 15 minutes. Serve warm with additional syrup.
- Serves 10.
