Ingredients
- 15 (2-inch) cinnamon sticks
- 2 Tbsp. cloves (whole)
- 2 Tbsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. mace
- 1 tsp. salt
- few grains cayenne pepper
- 1 3/4 qt. brown sugar
- 2 gal. cider
Method
- Tie spices lightly in cheesecloth bag. Add spices and sugar to cider. Heat slowly to boiling. Lower heat to simmer 15 minutes. Remove spice bag. Serve piping hot.
