Ingredients

  • 1 pint of fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 lg. box instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 2 c. of 1/2 inch cake cubes (use Pound or Angel Food Cake)
  • 4-6 bananas, sliced
  • 1 tub of Cool Whip

Method

  • Hull and slice 1 cup of berries.
  • Arrange along sides of a clear straight sided 1 1/2 quart glass bowl or dish.
  • Place remaining berries in food processor or blender, add sugar, cover and blend to puree.
  • In mixer bowl, beat pudding that has been made with cream cheese.
  • Place half of the cake cubes in the bottom of the dish; top with one half of the sliced bananas and pour half of the pureed berries over them.
  • Top all this with half of the pudding mixture.
  • Repeat with remaining cake cubes, berries, bananas and pudding.
  • Cover the top with Cool Whip and refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight.
