Ingredients
- 4 c. crushed strawberries
- 8 c. sugar
- 2 boxes Sure-Jell fruit pectin
- 1 1/2 c. water
Method
- Mix strawberries and sugar thoroughly.
- Set aside 10 minutes. Stir Sure-Jell with water in saucepan.
- Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Boil 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir mixtures together until sugar is completely dissolved.
- Pour into plastic containers; cover.
- Let stand at room temperature for 1 day.
- Jam is then ready to use.
- Store in freezer or refrigerator.
- Thaw in refrigerator.
- Yields 8 (1 cup) containers.
