Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 c. strawberry preserves
  • 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • 3/4 c. vanilla wafer crumbs
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped almonds or walnuts or sifted 10x sugar

Method

  • Beat cream cheese at medium speed until creamy.
  • Add melted chocolate.
  • Beat until smooth.
  • Stir in vanilla wafer crumbs and preserves.
  • Cover and chill for 1 hour.
  • Shape into 1-inch balls. Roll in nuts or sugar and chill.
  • (These will keep up to 2 months in freezer.)
  • Yield:
  • 4 dozen.
  • May also substitute raspberry preserves.
