Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. vanilla ice cream wafers
  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. nuts
  • 1/2 pt. whipping cream
  • 1 qt. strawberries, sliced (frozen or fresh)

Method

  • Butter 13 x 9-inch pan.
  • Crush ice cream wafers and put 3/4 of them in bottom of pan.
  • Pat down.
  • Cream together butter and powdered sugar.
  • Add egg yolks.
  • Beat.
  • Beat egg whites until stiff; add to mixture.
  • Mix well.
  • Spread over wafers.
  • Put a layer of nuts on top, then add your strawberries.
  • Whip the whipping cream; spread on top, then sprinkle with the rest of your crushed wafers.
  • Chill.
