Ingredients
- 1 pkg. vanilla ice cream wafers
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. nuts
- 1/2 pt. whipping cream
- 1 qt. strawberries, sliced (frozen or fresh)
Method
- Butter 13 x 9-inch pan.
- Crush ice cream wafers and put 3/4 of them in bottom of pan.
- Pat down.
- Cream together butter and powdered sugar.
- Add egg yolks.
- Beat.
- Beat egg whites until stiff; add to mixture.
- Mix well.
- Spread over wafers.
- Put a layer of nuts on top, then add your strawberries.
- Whip the whipping cream; spread on top, then sprinkle with the rest of your crushed wafers.
- Chill.
