Ingredients

  • 250 grams shredded steak
  • 2 tbsp tomato pasta
  • 3 tbsp bbq sauce
  • 1/2 onion diced
  • 1 cup capsicum (green and red, diced)
  • 3 mushrooms diced
  • 1 cup beef stock
  • 1 fresh chilli diced

Method

  • preheat oven to 180F
  • add a little olive oil into a saucepan and brown the shredded steak with a pinch of salt and 1 tbsp cracked pepper.
  • add the tomato paste, stock and bbq sauce and let simmer for 5 minutes
  • add chilli capsicum, onion and mushroom
  • prepare pie tins with short crust pastry
  • add the steak mixture to the pie
  • cover the pie with puff pastry and brush with butter
  • cook in oven for 20 minutes
