Ingredients
- 1 lb. squash
- 1 large onion
- 8 to 10 saltine crackers, crumbled
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 c. grated cheese
- salt and pepper
Method
- Cook squash and onion until tender.
- Drain.
- Add crackers, butter, egg yolks, cheese, milk, salt and pepper.
- Beat egg whites and fold into mixture.
- Place in a greased casserole dish.
- Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until firm and golden.
- Serve while hot.
- Serves 6.
