Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground lean beef
- 1/4 c. finely cut onion
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. hot fat
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. catsup or chili sauce
- 8 split sandwich buns
Method
- Brown meat and onion in fat slowly in a skillet, stirring with fork to break up meat.
- Spoon off any fat left in skillet.
- Stir into meat mixture the milk, salt and pepper.
- Cook and stir over low heat until mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in catsup.
- Spoon meat mixture into buns.
- Serve hot, 2 to a serving. Makes 4 servings.
