Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. broccoli
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 c. water
  • salt

Method

  • Cut tops off broccoli; break into 1 1/2-inch florets.
  • Peel and discard fibrous skin from stalk; slice into 1/4-inch-thick coins.
  • In 12-inch skillet, heat oil on medium-high.
  • Add garlic and red pepper; cook 15 to 30 seconds, stirring, until fragrant.
  • Add broccoli; cook 1 minute, stirring.
  • Stir in water.
  • Cover; cook 3 to 5 minutes or until broccoli is tender and water has evaporated.
  • Season with 1/4 teaspoon salt.
