Ingredients
- 3 to 4 lb. chuck roast
- salt and pepper
- prepared mustard
- flour
- 1 Tbsp. drippings
- 1 c. canned tomatoes
- 2 onions, sliced
- 3 turnips
- 1 acorn squash
- 3 potatoes
Method
- Rub roast with salt and pepper; spread with mustard and flour. Place in
- roasting
- pan and brown on top of stove with drippings; slice
- onions,
- turnips,
- squash
- and potatoes and place around roast.
- Do
- not
- slice
- too
- small.
- Season with salt, then
- add tomatoes and bake covered for about 3 hours in a 350° oven.
