Ingredients

  • 8 chicken pieces
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • pepper and garlic powder to taste
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 c. orange juice
  • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. dried basil

Method

  • Combine flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder in a bag.
  • Shake the chicken pieces individually until coated.
  • Brown in the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat, pour off fat.
  • In a bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
  • Add to skillet and simmer, covered, 25 minutes or until chicken is tender.
  • Serves 4.
