Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 None onion, finely chopped
  • 3/4 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 None lemon, finely grated peel only

Method

  • Mix ground beef, onion, breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic and spices in a medium bowl. Season. Using wet hands, shape tablespoons of mixture into balls. Refrigerate for at least 30 mins.
  • Meanwhile, for the yogurt dipping sauce, mix yogurt and lemon peel in a small bowl. Refrigerate until ready to serve,
  • Heat oil in a large skillet on medium heat. Cook the meatballs in batches for 8-10 mins, turning, until browned all over and cooked through. Drain on paper towels. Serve with the yogurt dipping sauce.
