Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. white Karo corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 c. walnut halves
Method
- For syrup, cook over medium heat approximately 5 minutes. Test the thickness of the syrup by putting small amount of the mixture in cold water to form soft ball.
- Remove from heat.
- Add nuts.
- Stir the nuts until well coated.
- Lay out on aluminum foil to set.
- Cool.
- Store in an attractive container, these make a wonderful hostess gift during the holidays.
