Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. rice
- 1/2 qt. tomatoes
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 large onion
- 1 can tomato sauce or 3-inches of catsup from bottle (to give color)
Method
- Fry onion and hamburger together.
- Cook rice in salt water 4 or 5 minutes or until tender.
- Drain off excess water.
- Pour rice and tomatoes in skillet and let simmer for about 1/2 hour or put in oven at 325° or 350°; bake until almost dry.
