Ingredients
- 1 c. rice (uncooked)
- 2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. butter or bacon grease
- 1/4 c. bell pepper
- 1/4 c. onion
Method
- Bring to a boil the rice, water and salt.
- Turn heat down to low setting and cover with a lid.
- Simmer 14 minutes.
- Saute bell pepper and onion in butter or bacon grease until onion is tender. Add this to the rice, then add tomato sauce and pepper.
- Mix thoroughly and simmer 10 minutes.
