- 1/2 bushel ripe tomatoes, cook and put through sieve
- 5 hot peppers
- 5 sweet peppers
- 5 large onions
- 1 head clove garlic, cook with 1/2 c. oil until soft
- 4 (12 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 1/4 c. salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. basil
- 2 tsp. oregano
- 2 tsp. celery salt
- 2 tsp. parsley
Method
- Cook until thick, about 40 minutes.
- Put into jars and seal. Makes 6 quarts.
