- 3 Tbsp. oil
- 1 lb. ground round, crumbled
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire
- 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 1 tsp. garlic
- dash of hot pepper sauce
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 (No. 303) can tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
- 1 (6 oz.) can water
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 large onion, chopped
Method
- In large skillet in hot fat, brown garlic, then remove.
- In same oil, saute onion until tender, then add crumbled meat; sprinkle with flour and cook, stirring, until meat loses red color.
- Add rest of ingredients.
- Stirring occasionally, cook over low heat to simmer, covered, for approximately 2 hours.
