Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. spaghetti
  • 2 Tbsp. soft butter
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 lb. cottage cheese
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 qt. sauce
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 12 oz. Mozzarella

Method

  • Cook spaghetti and drain.
  • In large bowl mix butter, salt, Parmesan, pepper and egg.
  • Add spaghetti and toss.
  • Spread evenly in 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Brown meat adding onion, green pepper and garlic.
  • Drain off fat.
  • Stir in sauce, sugar and oregano.
  • Spread cottage cheese over spaghetti layer.
  • Top with meat mixture and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with Mozzarella.
  • Bake another 10 minutes.
