Ingredients

  • 1 box spaghetti
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/3 c. onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
  • 1 c. tomatoes, cut up
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 c. cottage cheese
  • 1/2 c. Mozzarella cheese

Method

  • Boil and drain spaghetti. Mix with butter, eggs and Parmesan. Press into a casserole dish.
  • Spread with cottage and Mozzarella cheeses.
  • Cook beef, onion and green pepper.
  • Drain.
  • To meat mixture, add tomatoes, tomato paste, sugar, oregano and garlic salt.
  • Cook until blended.
  • Pour on top of spaghetti.
  • Bake 20 minutes, uncovered, at 350°.
  • Sprinkle with grated Mozzarella and bake 5 to 10 minutes longer.
