Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. grated onion
  • 2 1/4 c. milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large can tomato soup
  • spaghetti, cooked
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. basil

Method

  • Mix beef, bread crumbs, egg, milk, onion and salt.
  • Brown mixture; drain.
  • Add garlic, flour, oregano and basil.
  • Stir in tomato paste and tomato soup.
  • Heat to serving temperature.
  • Cook spaghetti according to package directions; toss with melted margarine and add to casserole dish.
  • Pour beef mixture; top with cheese.
  • Bake until brown in a preheated 350° oven.
  • Serve hot.
