Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey or chicken
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 2 (15 1/2 oz. each) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 lb. regular or thin spaghetti
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 c. chopped onions
  • 1 c. shredded carrots
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1 tsp. dried basil

Method

  • In a large skillet, brown turkey or chicken; drain.
  • Add onions, carrots and garlic.
  • Cook, stirring for 5 minutes until onion is tender.
  • Add all ingredients except spaghetti.
  • Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 25 to 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in boiling salt water, cook spaghetti until tender.
  • Drain, put into a serving bowl, and pour the sauce over.
  • Makes 4 to 6 servings.
