Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground turkey or chicken
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 2 (15 1/2 oz. each) cans tomato sauce
- 1 lb. regular or thin spaghetti
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 c. chopped onions
- 1 c. shredded carrots
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 1 tsp. dried basil
Method
- In a large skillet, brown turkey or chicken; drain.
- Add onions, carrots and garlic.
- Cook, stirring for 5 minutes until onion is tender.
- Add all ingredients except spaghetti.
- Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in boiling salt water, cook spaghetti until tender.
- Drain, put into a serving bowl, and pour the sauce over.
- Makes 4 to 6 servings.
