Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 eggs, divided use
  • 1 tsp. instant cappuccino coffee
  • 1 tsp. hot water
  • 2 tsp. bourbon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 (21 1/2 oz.) box fudge brownie mix
  • 1/2 c. cold strong coffee
  • 1/3 c. oil
  • 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Grease bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan.
  • In a medium saucepan melt butter; stir in flour until smooth.
  • Add brown sugar and 2 eggs, slightly beaten; mix well.
  • Cook over medium-low heat 5 minutes or until thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
  • Dissolve instant coffee in hot water; stir into filling.
  • Add bourbon, vanilla and pecans; mix well.
  • Set aside.
