Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 c. sour cream
Method
- Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat eggs and blend eggs and vanilla with butter mixture.
- Add flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg alternately with sour cream to the butter and egg mixture.
- Mix well after each addition.
- Chill 2 hours or overnight.
- Roll out on lightly floured surface 1/4 inch thick. Cut with 3-inch round cookie cutter.
- Place on well-greased cookie sheet.
- Sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake at 450° for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
