Ingredients

  • 2 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Method

  • In heavy saucepan, combine sugar, flour, spices and salt. Blend in sour cream and raisins.
  • Soak raisins in boiling water 10 minutes ahead of time.
  • Add beaten egg yolks and cook until thick, boil 3 minutes.
  • Pour into baked pie shell.
  • Cover with the Brown Sugar Meringue.
