Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 c. walnuts
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • pinch of cinnamon

Method

  • Cream butter and sugar.
  • Add eggs.
  • Add flour, sifted with soda.
  • Add sour cream, vanilla and lemon juice.
  • Mix chopped nuts, brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
  • Pour half of batter into well-greased spring-form pan; sprinkle 3/4 of nut mixture over batter, then add rest of batter.
  • Sprinkle remaining nut mixture on top.
  • Bake at 350° for approximately 50 minutes.
