- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. vegetable shortening
- 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c. white sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 5 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 pkg. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Method
- Cream butter, shortening, brown sugar and white sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla.
- Beat until light and fluffy.
- Sift together flour, salt and baking soda.
- Stir into creamed mixture.
- Add chocolate chips.
- Drop dough by rounded teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake in 375° oven until cookies are brown around edge but centers are not done, 8 to 9 minutes.
- Makes 96 cookies.
