Ingredients
- 1 c. soft butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 3/4 c. flour, sifted
- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
Method
- Mix thoroughly butter, sugar and eggs.
- Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt; stir in.
- Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.
- Roll in mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
- Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake until lightly browned but soft.
- These cookies puff up at first, then flatten out.
- Bake at 325° in a moderate hot oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
