Ingredients
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1/3 c. evaporated milk
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 (14 oz.) bag caramels
- 1/3 c. evaporated milk
Method
- Combine cake mix, butter and milk.
- Press 1/2 of this into a 9 x 13-inch cake pan (slightly greased).
- Bake for 5 minutes at 350°.
- Remove and sprinkle on nuts and chocolate chips.
- Melt together caramels and evaporated milk.
- Pour over the chocolate mixture.
- Spread the rest of cake mix batter over the top.
- Bake for 20 minutes at 350°.
- Don't overbake.
- Cool and refrigerate.
