Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/8 c. white corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. canned milk
  • 1/4 c. melted butter
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate

Method

  • Stir together in a large saucepan the sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, milk and butter.
  • Bring to boil on high heat, then turn heat to medium.
  • Add 2 squares chocolate.
  • When candy is ready (hardens in cold water), remove from heat.
  • Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into flat, shallow pan.
  • Let cool.
  • Cut into squares.
