Ingredients

  • Olive Oil, As Needed
  • 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Onion Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 Tablespoon Light Brown Sugar
  • 4- 1/2 pounds Boneless Pork Shoulder Roast
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 1- 1/2 cup Barbecue Sauce
  • 8 Sandwich Buns
  • Coleslaw, To Serve (optional)

Method

  • Drizzle oil in bottom of slow cooker.
  • Mix garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika and light brown sugar together in a small bowl.
  • Place roast in slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper and rub with spice blend.
  • Cover and cook roast on low for 10 hours.
  • Take meat out of slow cooker and discard leftover juice.
  • Shred meat and add back to slow cooker.
  • Pour in barbecue sauce and cook pork for an additional hour on low.
  • Serve the pulled pork on buns with coleslaw if desired.
