- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 2 medium cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 to 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 1 pt. tomato juice
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. spaghetti
- Parmesan cheese
Method
- In a large skillet, combine ground beef, tomato paste, juice, water, chili powder, salt, pepper, sugar, oregano, tomato sauce and garlic.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes longer or until spaghetti is tender.
- Stir frequently.
- Add onion rings last 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
