Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 2 medium cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 to 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 1 pt. tomato juice
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. spaghetti
  • Parmesan cheese

Method

  • In a large skillet, combine ground beef, tomato paste, juice, water, chili powder, salt, pepper, sugar, oregano, tomato sauce and garlic.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes longer or until spaghetti is tender.
  • Stir frequently.
  • Add onion rings last 5 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
