Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. to 1/4 c. oil
  • 1 small head cabbage, chopped
  • 5 medium carrots, shredded
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 10 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • bottled liquid hot sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • In a large nonstick pan, heat oil and add cabbage, carrots, bell pepper and onions.
  • Toss vegetables frequently with spatula. Add sugar, crumbled bacon, pepper sauce, salt, pepper and 6 to 8 teaspoons bacon grease.
  • Cook about 15 minutes.
  • If you want crispy vegetables, do not cover pan.
  • Cook over medium heat until desired crispness.
