Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 1/2 c. thinly sliced celery
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 2 tsp. salt (or less)
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 4 oz. noodles, cooked
  • 1 c. pitted ripe olives
  • 1/2 c. shredded American cheese
  • 2 c. milk

Method

  • Lightly brown beef, celery and onion in a large frying pan. Pour off drippings.
  • Combine flour, salt, pepper and paprika and sprinkle over meat and vegetables.
  • Gradually add milk and cook slowly 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in cheese, olives and noodles.
  • Heat thoroughly.
  • Makes 6 large servings.
