Ingredients

  • pre-cooked shrimp, any size you prefer, one bag.
  • onions
  • mushrooms
  • garlic
  • white wine...pinot grigio is good.
  • cornstarch for thickening
  • water
  • sugar if you like it a bit sweet.

Method

  • In a non-stick frying pan, nice and deep, (mine is T-Fal and it is awesome!) saute chopped onions, garlic and mushrooms, and some fresh chopped parsley if available (optional good addition). Add half a bottle of Pinot Grigio, and bring to a boil, add a half a cup of water that you have mixed one to two tablespoons of cornstarch into, and boil a bit longer. Taste and add sugar if it needs it. Sweet wine may be sweet enough.
  • Let sit for a few minutes while you run cold water over the shrimp in a sieve, for three minutes. Add them to the sauce and bring back to a boil. Serve over the pasta.
