Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 3/4 c. chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/4 c. peanut oil
  • 3/4 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 pkg. frzn peas, defrosted
  • 1 1/2 lbs. fresh shrimp, peeled, deveined
  • 3 ounce. crunchy chow mein noodles

Method

  • Blend cornstarch with sugar, salt, ginger, chicken broth, soy sauce and garlic.
  • Set aside.
  • Preheat wok or possibly skillet 3 min over high heat.
  • Add in oil and mushrooms.
  • Stir-fry over high heat 1 minute.
  • Add in peas.
  • Stir-fry 2 min.
  • Add in shrimp.
  • Stir-fry 2 to 3 min till just done.
  • Don't overcook.
  • Add in chicken broth mix and stir till thick.
  • Serve immediately with steamed rice or possibly chow mein noodles.
  • Serves 6.
