Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. basil
  • 1 lb. 12 oz. tomatoes, undrained
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 12 oz. cooked shrimp

Method

  • In pan, cook onion and green pepper in butter until soft. Stir in remaining ingredients, mixing well. Bring to a boil. Cover and allow to simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • (If you're using uncooked shrimp, cook 10 to 15 minutes.)
  • Stir occasionally. Serve over rice. Serves 4 to 6.
