Ingredients

  • rice
  • rice vinegar optional
  • 1 avocado
  • 3 sheets nori
  • wasabi
  • 24 shrimp depending on the size

Method

  • 1. Cook the rice. When making temaki, you usually have to mix in some rice vinegar once the rice is cooked. Set aside.
  • 2. Slice the avocado.
  • 3. Cut the nori sheets in half.
  • 4. Put the shiny side of the nori sheet down on your work surface. Place some rice on the left side. Add a dash of wasabi. Top it with some avocado slices then 3 or 4 shrimp (depending on the size). Roll the nori into a cone. Seal the temaki with a bit of wasabi.
  • 5. Serve immediately.
