Ingredients
- 1 c. brown sugar (light brown)
- 4 c. flour
- 1 lb. butter, softened
Method
- Mix together sugar and flour.
- With a fork, mix in soft butter and work into a smooth dough.
- Turn onto a floured table and pat to 1/2-inch thickness.
- (If necessary, chill dough for easier handling.)
- Cut into desired shapes.
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 325° for about 25 minutes until very lightly brown.
