Ingredients

  • 1 lb. butter
  • 1 c. confectioners sugar
  • 4 c. sifted flour

Method

  • Combine butter and sugar; blend well, being careful not to let butter get too soft.
  • (Best to mix with hands.) Gradually blend in flour; mix well.
  • Pat and press in 9 x 13-inch jelly roll pan. Prick with fork.
  • Put in fridge for 1/2 hour.
  • Bake at 375° for 5 minutes, then at 300° for 30 minutes, or until light brown. (Watch closely; don't let it get too brown.)
  • Remove from oven; cut into squares.
  • Sprinkle with white sugar.
  • Store in tin, not in Tupperware!
